With over 25 years of experience in podiatric medicine, Dr. George Marcus Conner, DPM, is a respected leader in his field, known for both his clinical excellence and his contributions to innovation in foot and ankle care. After earning his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a prestigious residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.
In 2001, Dr. Conner relocated to Colorado Springs, where he joined Colorado Health Partners and held several key leadership roles. He remained with the organization through its transitions—first to DaVita Medical Group in 2015 and later to Optum in 2019. When Optum began closing its specialty departments in 2024, Dr. Conner founded the Center for Advanced Foot and Ankle Surgery to continue offering high-quality, specialized care to the community.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Conner has developed multiple innovative surgical techniques and medical devices that are now widely used by podiatrists across the country. He was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to the Colorado Podiatric Board, where he later served as President.
Dr. Conner is deeply committed to patient-centered care, believing that the best outcomes are achieved by truly listening to each patient and understanding their unique needs. At the Center for Advanced Foot and Ankle Surgery, he leads a team devoted to delivering compassionate, thorough, and excellent care from consultation through recovery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Conner has been married for 34 years and is a proud father of four children, two sons-in-law, and currently six grandchildren—with hopes of more in the future. He enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, and working on his property with his tractor.
